​Trainee Recruitment for 2025 is now open

The role includes:
​​

Providing a minimum of three client sessions a week as part of our brief counselling services in Malton.
​

Offering 8 sessions to individuals aged 18 and over, who have been assessed (by a qualified counsellor)as having needs suitable for a trainee
​​

Where appropriate, providing up to eight additional sessions to clients with more complex issues (excluding trauma and/or abuse), under the Co-Payment Counselling scheme.

Attending the free, monthly, online facilitated supervision group provided by CCL (in addition to external clinical supervision, and any supervision provided by the training provider).

Working within the CCL hybrid or blended delivery model – the majority of sessions will be face-to-face but you may be expected to provide some sessions remotely i.e. online or via the telephone.
The role is open to candidates who are undertaking a diploma in counselling (or equivalent course). Confirmation of fitness to practice is required if you are in your first year of study.
The role requires an enhanced DBS check, including adults barred list.

The availability of placement days and times will be confirmed at interview.
​
