We provide counselling and play therapy (as appropriate) to adults and children as follows:

1. Ryedale and Scarborough Borough Districts [adults and children and young people] 

2. North Yorkshire and York [children and young people aged 18 and under] 

This service is commissioned by the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire.  The service is offered to victims of crime living in North Yorkshire and York.  The crime can be recent or happened a long time ago.  It also doesn't have to be reported to the police.  There is no age limit for this service. 

The service offers an initial assessment and up to 10 counselling sessions. 

To find out if you are eligible for help, telephone Supporting Victims on 01609 643 100 between 8am and 7pm, Monday to Friday.  Calls are charged at the standard rate for landlines and mobiles.  You can also be referred by any statutory or voluntary sector organisation, including IDAS (Independent Domestic Abuse Service) and Victims Support.
